Positivity

In a world where acceptance is at both its highest and lowest, I've always been told I'm confident. I don't feel confident. I know I am a lot more than most, but how? What's different about me? I'm happy to admit my flaws and my assets. They might not be what you see. I can look pretty, I can look tired. I'm happy to wear make up, and just as happy to not. These photographs explore the aspects of my physical and mental characteristics, sometimes dramatised in order to break down this 'confidence' into compartments. I can look androgynous. I can look muscular. I can look feminine. I love my cat. I am a stereotype. I break a stereotype. Who you are is what you want to be. Be happy with what you have. Life opens up once you start looking forward instead of in the mirror. - TORI LYONS
